Wallpaper is a great way to add color, texture and style to a room. One of the lines we are pleased to carry at Panoply Interior Design is Wallquest, a company whose heritage dates to the 1820s and the Lafoy family of Lyon, France. In 1938, Henry Lafoy founded a wallpaper business, and he introduced rotogravure printing and paper-backed vinyl to wallpaper. Today, that line of wallcoverings has become part of the Wallquest line, and the family owned and operated company makes its wallpapers in the US and sells these coverings in more than 60 countries.
In 2008, Wallquest introduced its Eco Chic wallpapers. These wallpapers are designed to have as little impact on the shared eco-system as possible. The process begins with selecting sources of paper from suppliers who use only pulp from well-managed renewable resource forests or recycled resources.
Wallquest design collections currently include such series as Bella Casa, Savannah House, Nouveau, Chinoiserie, Vintage Textiles, Simplicity and Villa Toscana II. The Alessandria paper above is from the Villa Toscana II collection and is an acrylic-coated, pre-trimmed, washable and strippable paper. This Eco Chic wallpaper is packaged in 11-yard rolls and has a 21-inch pattern repeat.
We have a variety of Wallquest pattern books available in our Resource Library at Knox and Panoply, so please let us know if you’d like to learn more about this great line of wallpapers.
