Panoply Interior Design Newnan Georgia explores High Point Market

It has been a while since I have blogged but the good news is I have been way to busy to get a blog post put together.  However, just got back from High Point market and want to share with you some of the highlights.  I had read a few months ago that taxidermy was coming to the interior design scene.  I think it has a lot to do with the popularity of “Duck Dynasty” but my first thought was “Oh my goodness I hope this doesn’t catch on”.  Well guess what?  It has.  Proof is the number of taxidermy pieces (dead animals?) I saw all over market.  I remember years and years ago at the Greeff showroom in New York there was a window display with stuffed chickens which I thought was rather odd but maybe appropriate to the country French fabric they had on display but REALLY…raccoons in a boat???  I had a hard enough time figuring out what to do with my former husband’s deer heads, now this?  Anyway, it was kind of cute as you can see from the picture but I have to say not my style.  I remember keeping dust off those deer trophies was no fun! Hopefully I’ll be blogging about some of the prettier things I saw at market soon.  In the meantime, have a great fall.  The weather is changing fast and has been so beautiful.
