The High Point Market in High Point, North Carolina is a favorite source of design inspiration. At the spring and fall markets each year, some 75,000 design professionals and serious retail home furnishings buyers come out because, as the saying goes, “If you can’t find it in High Point, it probably doesn’t exist.” At the most recent market, here are the trends that High Point Market's style spotters found worth watching, according to

Geometric Patterns — Geometric patterns were everywhere at the spring market, with companies unafraid to show their love of pattern. Techniques ranged from hand-carved and patchwork to laser cut, all in a modern style. The geometric rug shown above is from Jaipur Living, one of the lines we carry at Knox and Panoply.

Island Style Living - The idea of relaxing in a Caribbean villa was prevalent in many collections, and jute, a natural fiber found in many parts of the world, was one of the material highlights of Market. It is being used in art, lamps, chandeliers, accent tables, artwork and mirrors.

Re-Styled Circles — Beautiful round forms were seen in many of the new collections, including sphere-shaped lamps and mirrors.

Other design trends included sharp and masculine interiors, manmade products, textured pieces, and “the new old,” a resurgence of antique and vintage looks with contemporary updates. To see more of the latest trends in home furnishings and design, be sure to visit our showrooms at Knox and Panoply.
