In recent years, you may have noticed that geometric prints have become quite popular in interior design. Such prints aren’t new and have been used in design for centuries, but today they’re being called on to add style and interest to a room's design. Here at Knox and Panoply, we’ve used a stylish green geometric print fabric on this upholstered chair from Craftmaster, and geometric prints can be found in virtually any furnishings you desire, from sofas and chairs to rugs, cabinets, lighting and more. Here are some tips for using geometric prints in your home.
• Feel free to mix and match designs, but stay within a limited color palette to help tie all the pieces together.
• A simple geometric design, like the one shown here, can add visual interest to a space without being overpowering.
• Use geometric prints in small amounts. A single chair or throw pillow in a geometric pattern may be all that’s needed to add a little pop to a room. Such prints are terrific to use in a neutral room, such as one with mostly white or ivory furnishings.
