2015 trends in bathroom remodeling

Are you planning a new Master Bath? This space has become one of the most important ones in home design today, and according to a recent article on Angieslist.com, the bathroom is set to become the most popular home remodeling project of 2015.

The article stated that while homeowners once wanted a luxury bathroom remodeling to come in at $15,000, today the starting point is said to be $20,000, while some of the higher-end projects can cost up to $50,000.

Other findings from the Angie’s List survey:

• Fiberglass has fallen out of favor, and 89 percent of those responding want tile for their showers and floors. A popular new feature is 12 x 24-inch tile.

• In bathrooms as well as kitchens, using gray is a color trend that continues, with gray being treated as a neutral.

• Some homeowners are forgoing a bathtub altogether and asking for a large walk-in shower with custom faucets and sprayers.
